"My name is Theda Phoenix, I am an intuitive singer, songwriter and performer from Vancouver. In 1986 I moved to Echo Bay, a small, island community in the Broughton Archipelago on the West Coast of British Columbia. Living on a float house with no electricity and only boat transport gave me the opportunity to experience the natural world closely, spending time on the water with the orca and humpback whales, dolphins, seals and eagles. Without the typical urban distractions I was able to attune deeply to the rhythms of coastal life. I witnessed the cycles of big tides with the full moon and the return of the salmon to the rivers every summer. This experience informed in me, a recognition of the innate spiritual intelligence flowing through this planet and all of life. It has inspired me to sing spontaneously, as a celebration of the essential living spirit flowing through us all."

On Aug 2, 2007, in Whistler, BC, Theda improvised the closing song for the Satsang, "Be the Change" event with world renowned author Dr. Deepak Chopra. With her angelic intuitive voice, Theda creates songs customized to capture the intention and essence of your event. She weaves her accapella magic or accompanies herself on guitar. She has opened for authors and keynote speakers such as Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Caroline Myss and Luan Mitchell. She regularly sings at St Paul’s Labyrinth meditation and has performed at the Duncan Garage show room, Dynamic Centre for Spiritual Living, St Andrews Wesley Church, Vancouver East Cultural Centre, seminars, weddings, memorials, yoga classes, as well as donating her time to musical fundraisers for charities such as the Canadian Red Cross and YWCA. With her angelic voice and acoustic guitar, Theda sings with passion, from the heart, inspiring joy, peace, healing and love. Theda is available for singing engagments, workshops and one on one vocal and life coaching.

Theda has produced two soothing CD's, “Remergence”, an ethereal, meditative journey and “Suspended”, ambient electronica. Both are works of flowing improvised vocals and lyrics, being played at yoga/spa facilities and restaurants around Vancouver and beyond. Theda is also a holistic bodywork/massage practitioner. She is committed to all people living inspired and creating vibrant lives.
